The Karma Eximius 1 is the first of nine one-offs featuring extensive styling and mechanical modifications
๐ The Core Development
Karma Automotive has announced a new ultra-exclusive bespoke vehicle program, allowing nine special clients to create an equal number of one-offs with unique styling and mechanical modifications. The first member of the family is a track-focused model dubbed Eximius 1, featuring aggressive aero and a hybrid V8 powertrain.
The Eximius 1 looks like a beefed-up version of the Gyesera . The latter is the successor of the discontinued Revero, itself an evolution of the original Fisker Karma from 2011. The greenhouse, roofline, lights, and doors of the one-off are carried over from the donor vehicle, but everything else has changed.
๐ Background & Sector Context
The aggressive bodykit includes new front and rear bumpers with futuristic intakes and outlets, flanked by diagonal DRLs. These are joined by a vented hood, carbon fiber fender extensions, wider side skirts with aerodynamic fins, a complex diffuser, and a fixed rear spoiler. The body is painted in Borealis Blue with white graphics and exposed carbon fiber bits.
Inside, we find four Recaro bucket seats, Alcantara upholstery painted in Borealis Blue and Moondust, plus a generous amount of carbon fiber. There is also a motorsport-inspired emergency kill switch on the center console, and a custom carbon racing helmet mounted between the rear seats.
๐ Industry & Real-World Impact
While the Gyesera has recently transitioned from a fully electric to a range-extender setup producing a combined 566 hp (422 kW / 574 PS), the Eximius 1 gets something more special. The model is powered by a series plug-in hybrid system centered around a 6.2-liter V8 engine which sounds like its coming from General Motors.

๐ฎ Strategic Outlook & What Lies Ahead
According to Karma, the powertrain has a combined output of around 1,200 hp, with 550 hp coming from the ICE and 650 hp from the electric motors. All this power allows the track-hungry four-seater to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 2.7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of over 200 mph (322 km/h).
The one-off is presumably based on the aluminum spaceframe chassis that dates back to the Fisker days . Still, it benefits from a number of handling-focused modifications including a semi-active suspension by รhlins, wider tracks, and carbon-ceramic brakes with two-piece slotted brake rotors behind the 21-inch magnesium wheels.
