EV drivers have a new reason to pull into Hardee’s. Energized EV has opened four fast-charging ports at a restaurant in Temple, Georgia, kicking off a planned rollout at Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. locations across the US.

📌 The Core Development

There’s no site count or rollout schedule yet, but the first location is open with both NACS and CCS1 connectors.

The chargers are at 587 Carrollton Street in Temple . The site has two dual-port XCharge C7 DC fast chargers, each rated at 240 kW, for a total of four charging ports. Monta provides the chargers’ software. XCharge says the C7 adjusts power output between its two connectors, and both NACS and CCS1 connectors are on offer.

🔍 Background & Sector Context

“Adding charging at our restaurants gives EV drivers a convenient place to stop, recharge, and enjoy a meal,” said Mike Darger, vice president of facilities and maintenance at CKE Restaurants. “We look forward to building on this first opening as more locations come online across the country.”

Energized EV says more Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. sites are planned across the US, with president and CEO Devin Grandis calling Temple “the beginning of a much larger expansion.”

🔮 Strategic Outlook & What Lies Ahead

Energized EV’s approach is to install chargers where drivers already stop, whether they’re running errands or taking a longer road trip. But we’ll need the next locations and opening dates to see how useful this restaurant charging network will become. The announcement doesn’t list charging prices for Temple.
